FOR YOUR SEASON IN SOUTH FLORIDA

Seasonal Condo Cleaning in Fort Lauderdale

Before the suitcases arrive. After the season winds down. Plan a cleaning request around the condition of your condo, your travel window, and the practical details of getting inside.

Preparing to launch. Estimate inquiries welcome. Coverage, scope, price, and dates are confirmed separately. Submitting a request does not reserve an appointment.

START WITH YOUR TRAVEL PLANS

A useful order,
on either side of your stay.

Use these lists when returning to Fort Lauderdale for the winter or heading away. Your agreed estimate will define the cleaning work.

01 / ARRIVAL

Before you arrive

  1. Start with the condo’s condition

Share how long it has been empty, when someone last saw it, and any buildup, odors, or known issues. An unoccupied condo may need more than a routine refresh.

  2. Put the visit in the right order

Plan cleaning after dust-producing repairs and before unpacking. Share your arrival window; a date depends on launch readiness, building approval, and availability.

  3. Make the first evening easier

Identify the rooms you’ll use first. Discuss suitable reachable surfaces and floors, then list separate requests such as an empty refrigerator or a linen change.

02 / DEPARTURE

Before you leave

  1. Set aside what travels with you

Pack personal items and valuables before the cleaning window. Clear counters and floors so agreed areas are accessible.

  2. Decide what stays in the kitchen

Remove unwanted food. For refrigerator or cabinet interior requests, empty the agreed compartments beforehand; food sorting and disposal decisions remain with you.

  3. Prepare linens and ordinary waste

Say whether beds will be left stripped or whether a change using your clean linens is requested. Identify the building’s permitted household-waste disposal route and any restrictions.

  4. Separate cleaning from closing the condo

Arrange your final property check and departure instructions with your own local contact. Appliance settings, utilities, storm preparations, and ongoing checks are separate from a cleaning visit.

COORDINATING FROM A DISTANCE

Confirm the building
before the visit.

Fort Lauderdale condo buildings set their own access rules. Confirm your building’s current requirements directly with management; a listing on this website does not mean vendor approval is already in place.

For a remote owner, one authorized local contact can help clarify the handoff. Their role and any access arrangement must be agreed before a visit.

Management approval

Ask whether cleaners need advance authorization, registration, or specific documents. Share the requirements for review; we must confirm whether they can be met before agreeing to a visit.

Permitted hours & elevators

Confirm service hours, holiday restrictions, loading access, and service-elevator reservations. Allow for access time when discussing the visit window.

Parking & possible fees

Check vendor parking, valet rules, loading limits, and charges so their effect on the estimate and timing can be discussed.

Entry & a local contact

Identify who is authorized to arrange entry and who can help if access fails. Agree on access privately after contact; keep keys, door codes, and identification documents out of the estimate form.

MAKE THE REQUEST SPECIFIC

Optional details.
Agreed one by one.

These are requests to discuss, not a package. Each depends on availability, condition, suitable access, and an explicit scope and quote before you agree.

01

Empty refrigerator interior

Specify which compartments will be emptied and accessible. Food removal, defrosting, and appliance repairs are not assumed.

02

Oven interior

Describe the appliance and buildup so suitable methods and the time needed can be assessed.

03

Empty cabinet interiors

Identify the cabinets and clear their contents first. Reorganizing possessions is not included by default.

04

Reachable interior glass

Ask about safely reachable interior window glass. Exterior glass, high access, and building façades are outside this request.

05

A change of bed linens

Provide clean, dry linens and identify the beds. Laundry, linen supply, and off-site washing are not assumed.

Cleaning has a clear boundary.

Hazardous cleanup, mold remediation, pest treatment, repairs, HVAC work, and high or unsafe access are outside the cleaning scope. A visit does not include home watch, security inspections, storm preparation, or a guarantee of the condo’s condition while you’re away.

In the existing estimate form

  1. Select Snowbird arrival or Snowbird departure as the service type.
  2. Add condo size and a preferred date. Use “Anything else?” for your travel window, time unoccupied, cleaning priorities, and general building requirements.
  3. List optional tasks individually. Leave out keys, access codes, passwords, identification documents, and payment details.

Next comes a conversation about suitability, coverage, scope, price, and availability. A form submission is an inquiry; no visit is guaranteed.

GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

Seasonal cleaning questions, answered.

Can I inquire while I’m away from Fort Lauderdale?

Yes. Tell us your general location, expected travel window, and who would coordinate local entry. A remote request still needs confirmed building access and an agreed scope. Do not put keys, codes, passwords, or identification documents in the form.

How far ahead should I plan an arrival or departure clean?

Start by checking your building’s approval process and sharing a flexible date window. For arrival, plan around any maintenance and unpacking; for departure, allow time after packing and before your own final property check. We cannot promise lead times or dates while preparing to launch.

What if the condo has been closed for several months?

Describe the time away and its last known condition. Heavy buildup may need a different scope or may be unsuitable. Visible mold, pest activity, water damage, or other hazardous conditions need assessment by an appropriate specialist before ordinary cleaning can be considered.

Are inside appliances, cabinets, and bed linens included?

They are optional requests, subject to availability and a separate scope and quote. List each task you want assessed. Only the rooms, tasks, and extras explicitly agreed with you are included; a seasonal inquiry does not automatically include a deep clean.

Does an estimate request reserve an appointment?

No. Penélope’s Touch is a prelaunch business accepting estimate inquiries. Coverage, launch readiness, cleaner availability, scope, price, and a visit window must be confirmed separately. A preferred date on the form is a request, not a booking.

Will you monitor the condo while I’m away?

A cleaning visit does not include home watch, inspections, keyholding, pest treatment, HVAC work, or storm preparation. Arrange ongoing property care separately.

A little preparation. A more thoughtful return.
